Cardella Farmhouse, or Fattoria Cardella as it’s known in Italy, was built from stones that were collected from the hills of the Coastal Range a few miles away from where the farmhouse now stands. The wines produced at Cardella Winery under the Fattoria Cardella label are from grapes that are handpicked from estate and neighboring vineyards on the Westside of the San Joaquin Valley. This area of California, known as the “Bread Basket of The World”, is considered to be the most fertile land on the planet. In fact, Fattoria Cardella is situated in the middle of what is known as the Panoche Circle, an area that within a five mile radius there are over thirty different types of fruits, nuts and vegetables in cultivation.
